KAYOMBO KAMAWU, CHIEF PROGRAM OPERATIONS OFFICER

Kayombo Kamawu joined St. Mary’s Center in October 2022 as Chief Programs Operations Officer. In his role, Mr. Kamawu oversees all the agency’s programming which includes Adult Family Shelters, Young Parenting Living Program, Transitional and Permanent Housing Programs, and Education and Workforce Development. Prior to joining St. Mary’s Center, Mr. Kamawu served as Vice President of Residential Supports at The Pathlight Group in Springfield, MA, and as Vice President of Adult Services at the Kennedy-Donovan Center where he was responsible for residential, day, and community services, including shared living, family-support centers, and individual/supported living programs. Mr. Kamawu has also served in various leadership capacities in community-based day supports, employment, and day habilitation service lines. He prides himself in developing strong teams and enjoys the hands-on experience gathered while working with those teams. Mr. Kamawu graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Management Information Systems from Solusi University in Southern Africa. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Leadership Excellence and Organizational Leadership from the Donohue Institute at University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Graduate Certificate in Connected Strategy from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
