Our East Boston campus houses Crossroads Family Center, the only family shelter in the East Boston community.
Founded in 1985, today Crossroads provides shelter for 27 families, supporting mothers, fathers, and their children providing family-centered, wrap-around services focused on breaking down barriers to achieve rapid rehousing.
In additional to residential programming, Crossroads serves as a critical resource to the broader East Boston community, operating a food pantry that serves over 1,000 East Boston community members annually.
Food Pantry Hours of Operation: Every Wednesday (unless otherwise noted) from 3:00-4:00 pm.
For many families, their personal, social, and economic factors prevent them from moving from poverty to self-reliance. Striving to enhance a family’s ability to not only achieve, but to sustain economic and social independence, Crossroads Family Center’s programming offers residents:
Crossroads’ housing advocates prepare each family’s move from shelter to permanent housing and support more than
50 formerly homeless families during a 24-month stabilization period.
