Program Director:

We have an opening for a Program Director of of our teen parenting program, St. Mary’s Home. The Program Director’s responsibility is to direct and supervise all administrative, programmatic, financial, and case management activities for pregnant and parenting teenagers and their infants/toddlers. Duties include to develop and implement program policies and procedures, maintain a comprehensive client records system, oversee all delivery of services from intake to discharge, implement program-specific trainings for staff, and administer all personnel functions to include recruitment, interviewing, hiring, supervising, and evaluating staff. Requirements of the position include the following: Master’s degree or post-graduate work in related human service field; and ability to obtain social work licensure preferred. 2-5 years of supervisory, clinical, or direct treatment experience in human services Broad based knowledge of family services. Systems orientation with proven ability to think and act with a systems perspective Valid/active driver’s license. Necessary skills/abilities: excellent supervisory, interpersonal and organizational skills, able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and engage in a collaborative relationship with a multidisciplinary team. We are always hiring relief staff interested in providing direct care to our residents in our various programs.  Applicants with overnight (awake) availability are especially welcome.

Applicants who speak Spanish, Portuguese, Cape Verdean Creole, and Haitian Creole are especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants must also be licensed in Massachusetts to drive, and have a clean driving record.


St. Mary’s does not offer paid internships, and does not routinely offer internships to undergraduate students.  St. Mary’s/Crossroads does work with area colleges and universities to offer graduate-level clinical internships; please talk to your clinical program director to see if your school has a relationship with St. Mary’s.  If you are interested in a clinical internship and your school does not have a pre-existing relationship with us, please email your resume and cover letter to jobs@stmaryscenterma.org, and Human Resources will direct your resume to the appropriate program(s).

Volunteer Opportunities

If you are interested in a volunteer position with St. Mary’s, please send your resume and/or cover letter by email to jobs@stmaryscenterma.org and indicate what kinds of volunteer work you would be interested in performing.  A member of our staff will contact you to discuss available opportunities.

All prospective employees, interns and volunteers must pass an extended criminal background check that includes Fingerprinting, and extended CORI/SORI, and a check with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families.  All positions at St. Mary’s are conditioned upon successful completion of these background checks.
